The Time Out Pad is a pressure sensitive pad with a built in timer that helps parents monitor time outs. This simply works by adjusting the timer for one to five minutes and by pressing the start button. Its countdown will start when the child sits on the Time Out Pad and if the child stands up before the countdown has ended, an alarm sounds until they sit back down. This features red, yellow, and green lights that provide a visual countdown signaling the last 30 seconds of the time out. The Time Out Pad comes with a positive parenting guide including 5 steps to successful time outs. It requires two AA batteries which are not included.

To help children learn when their behavior is not acceptable, many parents use the 'time-out' technique, sitting the child quietly for a few minutes to calm down. Suitable for children from 2 years and up. STEP 1 The first warning: This warning stage is critical to the success of the time-out technique, as it gives your child the opportunity to correct inappropriate behavior. Come down to the eye level of your child, and say in a firm but calm voice Your behavior is unacceptable. We do not swear and hit people in this house. Please do not do it again. STEP 2 The final warning: For a repeat of the behavior, give a specific warning, like: I told you not to do that. We dont do that in our house. If you do that again you will go on the Time Out Pad". STEP 3 The time-out. If the behavior is repeated, use the Time Out Pad. Tell the child how long they have to sit quietly (experts recommend roughly one minute per year of age) and the reason why you have placed them there. For example: We dont hit people in our house. Its unacceptable behavior because people can get hurt. You are going to sit here for 3 minutes. When you see the green light and hear the tune, I will come and get you and you can say you're sorry". Then move away from the child, keeping them in earshot. STEP 4 The apology : If you pop your head around the corner to check on your child and you see the amber light, you will know you have less than one minute to go, which gives you time to prepare for the apology stage. Once you hear the Finish Tune and the light is green, come down to eye level with your child, and ask them for an apology. STEP 5 Praise and move on. Once the apology has been made give your child a big hug.

This time out pad is perfect for a toddler who has no concept of time. This pad provides visual and auditory signals. It is also really great for ADHD kiddos.
When I first saw this item honestly I laughed however a week later I ended up purchasing it. As a mother of four very young children I have a tendency of putting children in time out but getting distracted by life. As a result two things happen: One my toddler will sneak out and I don’t realize it till much later or Two they end up in time way too long. This pad solved both problems, it alerts me if my toddler tries to escape and it sings a fun song when time out is over so that I can talk with my children.
One piece of advice thought. Your child may find this fun at first, mine did, therefore I made sure to explain what it was for and did not allow them to play with it. The novelty of it when it first arrived soon dissipated and they now do not want to be on the time out pad.

You should book at least 14 days in advance. Every so often the airlines have a promotion on airfare to certain cities. But going to New Orleans in the spring, especially during Mardi Gras I doubt you will get anything really cheap since lots of people will want to be going there. If you wait until the last minute, there may not be seats available.
I would suggest you look up airfare to New Orleans for when you want to go but also look at alternative airports such as Baton Rouge or any airports nearby where you live. Sometimes it is cheaper to fly out of or into another airport.

Instead of waiting to know how long it takes for the work permit to be issued by the Aussie authorities,don't you think it is wiser and better to be fully prepared so that when the permit it received you can straightaway book tour flight?So plan away right now starting with kitting yourself adequately after finding out the climatic conditions etc.Then of course everything else will follow.Good Luck and get

Their is this stuff you can buy at the dollar tree, that works great for removing stains on carpets and cleans just about anything. Its called La's totally Awesome the spray bottle is clear with red writing on it. Try it, it won't hurt. I believe they might even sell it at the 99 cent stores too.
