“Impossible Buildings” (Ableton Live, Arduino and uVGA)
I am working on trying to incorporate synchronised, synthesised video into performances where a computer is not necessarily available or desirable. This is my first attempt at using 4D system's uvga module. This is a small circuit board that takes serial commands and generated video that can be displayed on any VGA-compatible display device (projector, monitor etc). In this video, a minimalistic drum track data from Ableton Live is sent to an Arduino, which is in turn connected to a 4D systems uvga and a 15" monitor. Some nice visuals are thus generated. If only i had a data projector... then this sort of stuff would look much better. Code, circuit etc: little-scale.blogspot.com -- little-scale.blogspot.com

Sick!
high tech stuff
holy shit. that’s awesome!
Dude! I had no idea you were such an electronics badass! Killer.
what exact model is the uVGA module from 4d? I found one on 4d’s website but it does not look similar. Was this the only hardware necessary to make this visual happen? Also, how is the drum track sent from the arduino? Thanks mate!
Another great creation.
DOPE
ooooohhhhh!!!! sorry then my bad! =P
the Politics Section is being taken over by conservatives. i asked this question: would you rather have Nancy Pelosi or Sarah Palin as President? one liberal answer had over 60 thumbs down… 60!!! whenever i see an answer by a conservative, it usually has 5-10 more thumbs up than an answer given by a liberal.
I thought it was impossible for Walmart to get worse. I was wrong. + # TM/LN
You can go to RadioShack to pick up these little electronic components. There are two locations in your area.

Starfish…
Here’s a thought. I occasionally have bouts of vertigo/loss of balance. You could feed out the values to plated and use the tongue to coordinate balance. How’s that.

thanks! lol
RT I tell people I'm too stupid to know what's impossible. I have ridiculously large dreams, and (cont)
I've done it on Madden 2004 before.
Then again it was a glitch I think.
I was also using the best team possible in the game,
and I was playing against the worst possible team in the game.
Anyways that game lagged right before the kick was blocked and then there was a flag for roughing the kicker.
So, from my experience,
I'd say no, its impossible.
