Force Flat Panel 15 Monitor to use 1280 x 1024 resolution?
Benjamin Asked:
Is there any possible way of forcing a 15 inch flat panel monitor to use the 1280 x 1024 resolution instead of the 1024 x 768 resolution?

To answer your question
Click:
-START
-CONTROL PANEL
-DISPLAY
-You will see 5 or so tabs on top. Select the last tab called "Settings"
-There is a slider bar to adjust the "screen resolution" which yours is currently set to 1024x768. You want to slide it one notch to thr right to get the 1280x1024 resolution.
-Click APPLY then OK
-Voila, you are finished.
Now if you are unable to move the slider bar to the right or if 1024x768 is the farthest option on the right then that usually means your video card is unable to display at any higher resolution. Tough cookies.
Now if you are thinking "Hey my video is supposed to be really good. Why can't it go higher?" Then there is the possibility that you never updated the drivers (software) for your video card. If that is the case then you will have to download the latest drivers from your video card manufacturer's website and install them. Of course that would be a different question.

OMFG
You PSU only powers your video card for the monitor, not the monitor itself. The monitor has its own PSU inside. Just your electric bill will be effected.
Well both laptops are very good.
The first laptop has a larger hard drive space than the first. You can fit 180 more GB on it. Which is 45,000 more songs. Not many people use up that much space though. It is also capable of running more programs at once, but not a lot.
The second laptop is slightly faster but not by a lot.
If it was me I would be getting the first one because it is still very fast, it has a lot of space, and has pretty good amount of memory for a laptop (3GB), and has dual layer burning. To my standards the first laptop is better.
The first system is better for gaming and will still do all of your office tasks.
The Intel graphics is not that flash and although the 7100 isn't that good either … it is certainly a lot better
