Can I hook a 15 volt power supply to a 14 volt dc monitor?

I have a nice flat screen monitor but no power supply the monitor needs a 14 volt 3.0a dc power adapter but I have a 15 volt 3.0a dc power supply(should I wait and buy a 15 instead?).
How badly would I damage my monitor?
