Can I use universal adaptor to power 15 touch monitor”?

I have just got a 2nd hand 3m 15" touch screen tft monitor. It had no power suplly so I have trid to use a universal adaptor. It is correct polarity and at 12Volts. The power LED lights up and when you unplug then plug back in the cable to pc you see the screen for a split second. The est of the time the screen is black. Would this be the adaptor or is the monitor broken? Are 3m power supples expensive?

It is best to use the power adapter made for that monitor...that way the amps and whatnot are correct too.

Ive got the same headset, enjoy it while you can cause your gunna have alot of problems with it as it wears.. not opening an flipping out, screen quits working sometimes, sticks while closing, etc.
The glove test was totally cheating. You layed your whole finger on the panel – not just the finger tip. Do it again with just the fingertip. Why do you go so slow? Is that all the controller(s) can handle? You’re pushing so hard that the panel was about to break. Why are there so many chips on the PCB?

LoL!! It would be a definite step up for you then. If you can find them for that price then that’s really a good deal. If you can find them locally for that price that would be better. The Q/A was kind of hit or miss with these monitors. Some people got some with excessive light bleed around the edges and some people didn’t. I got somewhat lucky with only some slight light bleeding on one of them. It was no big deal for me based on what I use them for.
