Industrial 15 LCD Monitor: an introduction
Another important factor, which one has to decide, is whether to go for an LCD with a flat display or a Touch Screen LCD. However, at this juncture the advantages of a touch screen LCD monitor do tip the scales a bit in its favor.
Advantages of touch screen industrial LCD monitors:
Touch screen technology has been playing a great role since the early 1970s. It has also become extremely popular in all these years. It is indeed a key asset in the field of industrial computing as it offers quite a number of advantages over its conventional counterparts. The fact that touch screen monitors act as an input device as well as an output device, makes it even more viable. One does not have to ask for a separate mouse, monitor or a keyboard while using a Graphical User Interface. It is so because the Touch Screen monitor does the work of all three. In industrial applications, touch screen LCD monitors are more durable and they are also often resistant to dirt, oil, grease, etc., which prevail in these environments.
While selecting a touch screen LCD monitor, it is really important to remember in which application it would be used, where it would be placed and of what size the monitor needs to be.
The big players in the market:
The big guns in the market are Sony, Samsung, Dell, and a few others. Samsung has a range of industrial monitors of SyncMaster series which are based on the technology known as TFT active-matrix display technology. The monitors are available in diagonal sizes of 15 inches to 46 inches. The buyers can choose from as many as 124 different models which come in great viewing details, vibrant colors and clear picture details.
Dell has more than 12 different models of LCD monitor that range from diagonal sizes of 15 inches to 24 inches. Like Samsung, these models are also based on TFT active matrix display. Their resolutions range from 1280x1024 to 1600x1200.
Sony has more than 70 different types of LCD monitors; with more than 15 varieties with different diagonal sizes. Apart from anything else, these LCD monitors are soft on eyes and do not cause eyestrain.

Sprinkle baking soda onto a damp sponge and scrub the greasy spots off. Then rinse with hot water and white vinegar.
It works for me.
No, you shouldnt put grease or oil of any kind down the kitchen sink. This will cause build up in your pipes and regardless of how hot of water you run down the drain it will not melt it. Oil and water seperate. I drain mine into a normal bowl and after it has cooled I put it in the trashcan, in either an empty can or empty box. Some people use empty coffee cans to put grease in and I tried this (my mom has ALWAYS did that) but with in a few days the grease smells so nasty that when you open the can to put more in it, it almost gags you.
Does not look easy. May be you can contact a programming expert at website like
The term media center refers either to a dedicated computer appliance or to a specialized application software designed to run on standard personal computer hardware which then becomes a so called “HTPC” (“Home Theater PC”, also sometimes refered to as a “Media PC”), both of which are adapted for playing various kinds of media (music, movies, photos etc.), and it usually has a GUI (Graphical User Interface) design to be used in living-room TV with a remote control, a type of interface style that is commonly known by the designers of them as a 10-foot user interface. A media center typically allows watching movies (DVD, BluRay, and other digital video formats) and watching and recording television broadcasts, playing audio (CD as well as MP3, WMA, and other audio formats).
No. Microsoft Office Word is a word processor, not a general purpose GUI. It's not adaptable for downloading miscellaneous files.
Sorry.
Great ideas! Thank you!
The British Governement, faced with an upcoming general election in which policy toward the internet, digital inclusion of the masses and how government IT interfaces with the private sector will all come into play, has rolled out the big guns in the shape of the Prime Minister and a clutch of ministers and advisers today. In a speech in London, billed as “Building Britain’s Digital Future”, Gordon Brown ranged over a wide range of topics. Here are the highlights:
Well, I can't point you to actual news stories because I read the paper reviews in blogs, but a few interesting recent papers that were mainly based on statistics were the discredited study on prayer that came out of Columbia University, where I think they claimed that prayer helped heart surgery patients recover faster by mangling the statistics, and there's the meta-analysis (another cool tool in statistics) from the Lancet last year (I think it was last year) that showed that homeopathy was no more than the placebo affect.
NO!!!!!
Soak them in a bucket outside first with a degreaser to get all or most of the oil and grease out of them.
Then you need to rinse them out before putting them in the washer.
“Judge Greg LaRock certainly had his work cut out for him – with over 420 excellent paintings to choose from in the June FineArtViews Painting Competition, he had to somehow narrow it down to the 11 winners – we certainly didn’t envy the task.”
